A Bit About Us...
Galloway Farm is owned by Joe and Carolyn Galloway. Founded in 1968 with the purchase of Rajas Flame, Galloway Farm has always been a place where horses can be found that are dependable and hard working.
We ask of our horses three things, quality, stamina, and intelligence. We want horses that are top notch with quality. We like for our horses to be larger preferably from 15.2-16hands. Big bones, big hips, and big bodies. Stamina we believe is also essential to a horse that you plan on using everyday. We aspire to breed horses that can be ridden from the time they are saddled in the morning to the time that they get there evening meal. Intelligence is the last key essential in our breeding program. We breed horses that like to learn and love to be handled. Our horses are like family.
Reference Horses
Rajas Flame (Babe)
Babe was a 16 hand sorrel mare that was both a family member and a great worker. She loved to work cattle and run. She was also a great baby sitter. Her bloodlines were from the Wagoner Ranch. Both of her parents were in their late twenties when she was born but that did not effect the quality of their offspring. She was born and bred to be a cow horse and she delivered. She was bred to Flit Bar Mac to produce Concho Blazer. Concho contained all the great characteristics of his dam and passed them on to his offspring as well. This formed the foundation of our breeding program. The last breeding mare out of Babe is Rain (August Rain Bo) she is listed on the Mares page.
